My cousin Jack Dahle, a budding astrophotographer in Birmingham, allowed me to play with his image of the moon. The dragonfly was just a whimsical addition for visual interest, but Jack's father informs me it is quite appropriate, as in Alabama they have "dragonflies the size of helicopters."Look Closer

My studio is in my childhood home, a 1926 farmhouse on the western prairies of Minnesota. In 2006, after many decades of city life, personal circumstances required a move back to my home town and the family farm. Things have a way of working out for the best; along with family care responsibilities came the freedom to freelance in my (several) areas of creative interest.
Art and design has always been my passion. I majored in Graphic Design but was not able to apply my degree until many years later. It seems I had to wait until desktop computers were invented and Photoshop was available before I could pursue my dreams.
I have experience in logo/ business card/ brochure /flyer design, book cover design and book publishing layout, but fine art seemed just out of my grasp, until I found Sebastian Michaels' Photoshop Artistry and Awake courses. Now I am acquiring the tools, and the inspiration, to create works of art which are deeply satisfying to me, to truly live the Photo Artistic Life.
I hope you might find something among my works that speaks to you.
