During his 20 years of US Naval service Joe traveled throughout the Unites States and around the world experiencing many different cultures and ways of life and recorded those experiences through his photographs. Over 45 years ago, Joe began his career with a simple Kodak Instamatic camera and turning the bathroom into a darkroom. For several years Joe had to put his photography aside to raise a family & work life’s struggles only taking pictures to document family moments. Eventually, and without regrets, he gave most of his photography equipment to his daughter so she could pursue her passion of photography and formal education at the Art Institute of Philadelphia. His photography was now put aside without any idea of when, if ever, he would be able return to his passion. Now nearing retirement, Joe has revived his passion for photography. Armed with his digital cameras, keen eye and creative talent his pictures come alive on a computer screen. His enthusiasm for life and obsession to capture that perfect shot is only enhanced with the beauty of the Eastern Shore. This area of the country enables him to create stunning, magnificent and high quality pictures that will take your breath away. Joe always said, look what I see through my lens. Now his company, "Thru My Lens Photography", has come to life so others can see what Joe sees through his lens.
