Burmis at Sunset

Inspiration

This is the most photographed tree in Alberta, Canada, the Burmis Tree, a limber pine that died in the late 1970s after losing its needles. Limber pines are long-lived and known to survive harsh conditions. The Burmis Tree was estimated to be between 600 and 750 years old. I took this picture at sunset, and made a digital painting out of it to give it overall texture and accentuate the lines and colors.
