Limber pines are long-lived and known to survive harsh conditions. The Burmis Tree was estimated to be between 600 and 750 years old, and the locals have rallied over the years to preserve it. This photograph was awarded Third Place in the Photography/Digital Art Category and Sixth Place Overall in the 2017 Light Space & Time 2017 "Landscapes" competition.
