I am a digital media creative with a Bachelor of Science in digital media and a Minor in Fine Arts from East Tennessee State University. I grew up in a small town in North Carolina. The pleasure of living in both mountain and beach areas of North Carolina has helped cultivate my passion for seeing everything around me as beautiful treasures. Even as a child growing up on a farm I remember being mesmerized by everything from smelly pigs, crowing roosters, fresh eggs, vivid trees, sweet-smelling flowers, luscious fruits and vegetables just to name a few. Everyday was a creative adventure for me. A simply yard venture would easily become a front yard museum. Organic eggs turned my mud pies into masterpieces. Tree limbs became woven sculptures. Rocks, pinecones, feathers, and other found items were transformed into unique creations. These everyday treasures helped open a stream of creativity that still flows today. I truly believe that when the God of heaven created the earth, He wholeheartedly invited us to encounter daily treasures as mementos of his goodness. Consequently, I have cultivated a lifestyle that creatively celebrates the beauty of everyday treasures. Even today as I journey to create it forward I frequently find inspiration everywhere. Habitually, I pick up my camera and beyond the len there is creative moment happening that captivates the present beauty. Rather it be a walk in park, stroll on the beach, hiking in the mountains, cooking or just hanging out in my back yard, there is always a celebration within that gleams with sheer creativity. I am inspired to capture the utmost creative moments. Oftentimes I capture simply things as well as things that are disregarded as rubbish. My hope is that when captured meets flair the treasure within will bring inspiration to others.
