Lobster Traps Rockport, MA

Inspiration

Little did I know when I wandered onto Bradley’s Wharf in Rockport, MA that the lobster traps that caught my eye were set against the most often-painted building in America, Motif #1. I was only guided by my photographer’s instinct to get the shot, stand back, turn, and get another angle. Only later did I discover that the site has been the favorite subject of artists’ renditions for years. And yet, for all the canvases and photographs, each work of art is unique, the vision of the individual artist.
