On recent trip to the west coast of Tasmania we took a boat trip through Hell's Gates where I photographed this lighthouse. Hell's Gates is the turbulent entrance to Macquarie Harbour, dreaded both by the convicts exiled there and the sailors tasked with ensuring their arrival.
